Fraudulent phone calls in Dresden: Seniors in sight!

Dresden-Seevorstadt, Deutschland - Unknown fraudsters in Dresden on Thursday, June 12, 2025, tried several times to bring unsuspecting citizens by phone to get their money. A 72-year-old woman received several calls in the suburb of the lake in which the crooks claimed that she had won 38,000 euros. In order to receive the amount, however, it must buy credit cards worth a total of 1,000 euros and transmit the codes. The senior citizen finally looks through the perfidious game and alerts the police.

Another victim was an 85-year-old woman in Pieschen. Here the fraudsters tried to smoke 30,000 euros with a so -called shock call. They claimed that a family member had caused a serious accident and urgently had to raise money to avert a prison sentence. When the elderly lady replied that she did not have so much money, the perpetrators broke off the conversation abruptly. Such unscrupulous machinations show again how important it is to be vigilant!
