Leipzig celebrates Digital Day: Taking a say and helping everyone!

Magazingasse 3, 04109 Leipzig, Deutschland - Leipzig is preparing for an important day of action: On June 27, 2025, the city will host the 6th digital day. Under the focus topic "Digital democracy, have a say. the event is organized by the "Digital for All" initiative, an association of over 25 organizations. The aim of the day is to promote and support the digital participation of all people in Germany. This is becoming increasingly important, especially at a time, in which digital solutions are increasingly influencing our daily life.

The Digital City of Leipzig presentation will take part in this digital day with an open day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors have the opportunity to visit the Smart City Lab Leipzig in the magazingasse 3. Here, guests can expect an interactive exhibition in which urban designs are presented in virtual reality. It will also be possible to test modern sensor technology and gain insights into the energy atlas. Experts from the presentation are ready to get into conversation with the participants.

A special highlight of the digital day will be a guided walk through the Leipzig city center, which is led by an expert. This takes place between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and addresses the importance of sensors and user -generated data for sustainable urban development. The Smart City Lab has established itself as a meeting point for innovations and digital participation in 2024 and has already carried out over 500 events. The digital day offers a platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges of digitization and invite all interested parties to bring in their thoughts and ideas.
