The temporary speed measurements are part of a comprehensive effort to ensure road safety and minimize accidents.
Two specific speed camera locations were reported in Leipzig: Sommerfelder Straße in Mölkau, with a speed limit of 20 km/h, and Riesaer Straße in Paunsdorf, where a higher speed limit of 60 km/h applies. Both measurements took place on September 21, 2025, with Sommerfelder Straße being checked at 2:30 p.m. and Riesaer Straße at 2:29 p.m. The latest information was at 3:11 p.m. that day.
The importance of speed limits
