Wrestling Sensation: Syuri Debuts at AEW All In Texas!
Syuri, one of the most prominent wrestlers in professional wrestling, is preparing for a new phase in her career. After her recent loss to Sareee, the veteran fighter, who has been active since 2008, has announced that she will take a break and travel abroad to prepare for important competitions. Her next big challenge will be her All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut in the Women's Casino Gauntlet Match during the AEW All In Texas event. This could be just the move to get to know the organization better before signing a contract in the future, similar to what happened to other talents from STARDOM like Mina Shirakawa and Thekla. Wrestle talk reports that Syuri has been considered one of the most decorated female wrestlers since her debut days in Japanese wrestling.
The 36-year-old Syuri is known for her impressive striking power and sophisticated submission techniques. She has won numerous titles in her 17-year career, including the IWGP Women's Championship and the World of Stardom Championship. The latter reign lasted 365 days, during which it even ended Mayu Iwatani's 735-day dominance. Her skills have earned her recognition not only in Japan but also internationally, as evidenced by outstanding matches against other stars such as Utami Hayashishita and Mayu Iwatani. SI.com highlights that before her last loss, Syuri successfully defended against Alex Windsor in England at Pro Wrestling EVE.
A new challenge in the USA
In the past, Syuri has also dabbled in MMA and boasts a record of 6-3, including a stint with the UFC. The upcoming trip to the USA not only brings Syuri the opportunity to debut in AEW, but also the chance to compete with other international wrestlers such as ROH Women's World Champion Athena. Interest in a match between the two has already been expressed. These international appearances are part of a growing strategy supported by STARDOM's partnership with AEW. This could also be an opportunity for Syuri to reunite with her former teammate Hikaru Shida, who is currently absent from AEW TV due to visa issues.
Fans will be excited to see how Syuri fares in this new chapter of her career. Her last match in STARDOM took place on July 6th at Korakuen Hall and marks the end of her career in Japan before she takes on the new challenges on American soil. The wrestling community is excited to see what comes next as Syuri continues her impressive career.
