Peter Weck celebrates his 95th birthday today, August 12, 2025. The popular actor and director has completed a remarkable variety of roles and projects throughout his career. Weck is considered a TV legend and has managed to appear charming and ageless, which has earned him a loyal fan base. He is particularly well known as the star of the popular series “I'm Marrying a Family,” which has thrilled generations. On his special day, his dream film partner of many years, Thekla Carola Wied, sent him warm congratulations.
To mark his birthday, the public broadcaster ORF and numerous TV networks have initiated a comprehensive program focus. ORF reports that a variety of programs will be broadcast on August 12th that will focus on Weck's life and career. In addition, the series “Heiteres von Roda Roda” with Weck’s participation will run from August 11th to 14th. On August 16th, the lively retrospective will be rounded off with the last three episodes of “I’m Marrying a Family”.
