Thekla's rise in wrestling
When she decided to get into the ring herself at the age of 19 after a wrestling event in Vienna, the punk scene was a crucial source of inspiration. Thekla, who was active in the DIY and punk scene in Vienna, began her training at Wrestling School Austria (WSA) under the guidance of Gerhard Hradil. In her debut appearance, she appeared in World Underground Wrestling (WUW) on June 18, 2017 and quickly developed her distinctive style with “spider-like moves” in a “basement dojo”.
The development of her wrestling career soon took her to Japan, where she fought in various promotions such as Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling and Ice Ribbon. She experienced a decisive upswing in Japan and won the WUW Women's Championship on December 15, 2019, which she held for an impressive 441 days - the second longest individual lead until February 2025. Thekla has thus established herself as a serious wrestler not only in Austria, but also internationally.
The path to AEW
After a turbulent time that included her release from STARDOM and a subsequent trial period in AEW, she made her debut in the major wrestling league on May 28, 2025. Thekla attacked Jamie Hayter and caused a stir, which gave her career a bright shine. She played her first in-ring match on June 4, 2025, against Lady Frost. At All In, on July 12, 2025, she took part in a spectacular Women's Casino Gauntlet Match.
