AEW Collision: Adam Page defends title in spectacular main event!

The latest episode of AEW Collision is scheduled for August 9, 2025, which promises a variety of exciting fights. The central highlight is the trios main event, which includes the new AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page. Page will team up with JetSpeed, consisting of Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey, against the team of Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos. This is Page's first fight since defending his title against Jon Moxley at the All In: Texas event and he's under pressure to prove himself as a champion.

On the next edition of Dynamite, Adam Page will also defend his title against Moxley, which increases the pressure on him to present himself as a title-worthy champion today. Another exciting fight on today's card will be new TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher's first title defense against Tomohiro Ishii. Fletcher won the title on July 31 in a dramatic Chicago Street Fight against Dustin Rhodes. So this first defense represents a significant challenge.

More exciting matches and developments

In addition to the aforementioned matches, there will be a six-woman tag team match. In this match Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata and Tay Melo face Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue on the mat. Last time it looked like Willow Nightingale would face Thekla, but she lost due to interference from Thekla's teammates, Skye Blue and Julia Hart.

Another interesting aspect of recent AEW events was the incident between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley. Allin had incapacitated Moxley with a cloth backstage before security prevented him from throwing Moxley onto the tracks. Moxley's team, the Death Riders, then sought revenge against Allin.

Looking forward to the upcoming events

The last show at the Aragon Ballroom also featured significant matches, including the Chicago Street Fight for the TNT Championship, which featured extreme action before Fletcher emerged victorious. These and other matches could give way to the clashes at the “Forbidden Door” event in London, which is scheduled to take place in the near future.

Fans can look forward to two previously announced matches: Swerve Strickland will face Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Unified Championship and Athena will face “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship. This shows the explosive momentum with which AEW continues to maintain its place in the wrestling universe.

Tonight's AEW Collision airs live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT, and viewers can expect plenty of twists and turns and exciting matches. As the company's fortunes continue to be shaped, it remains to be seen how the champions and challengers will fare in this high-profile wrestling environment.
