Kick the cancer: football tournament for children with cancer in Leipzig!

Stötteritz, Deutschland - On June 15, 2025, the 24th football tournament for children with cancer took place under the motto "Kick den Krebs" in Leipzig-Stötteritz. Organized by the "Parenthilfe for Cancer Children e.V.", the event is pursuing the goal of supporting affected children and their families. In the past two years, the donation revenue has collected around 50,000 euros each, which are used to finance the psychosocial support of these families.

such as [MDR] (https://www.mdr.de/sport/fussball_pokal/kick-den-krefiturnier-Benefice Turnier-Kinde- Kinder-Rose-Roehl-Rische-Livestream-100.html) reports, programs such as art, music and sports therapy as well as psychological support are important building blocks in support of children. However, these therapeutic offers are not refinanced by payers or health insurance companies, which causes a significant gap in financing.

On Krebs-bei-kinder.de it is emphasized what role the support of children and their families plays. The combination of sport, commonality and good cause attracts numerous supporters every year and makes it clear how important it is to make a small contribution.
