Serious accident in Seehausen: Audi driver fights for her life!
Seehausen, Deutschland - On June 21, 2025, two traffic accidents occurred in the Seehausen region, which had different levels of severity. According to information from sachsen-anhalt.de there was an incident in Arendseer Straße at 11:10 a.m. A 44-year-old woman who was traveling with her Volkswagen collided with a 36-year-old cyclist who moved on the bike path towards the city center. The collision led to a fall of the cyclist, which slightly injured. The property damage to the vehicles involved was also remarkable.
Another traffic accident took place on the B 189 on the same day at 7:13 p.m. This was a collision between a 33-year-old Audi driver and a 41-year-old driver. The 33-year-old woman was on the L 2 from the direction of Seehausen when she disregarded the 41-year-old's right of way in the intersection, who came from Osterburg on the B 189. This led to a serious injury to the Audi driver, while the 41-year-old got away with minor injuries. Here, too, a significant damage to property was caused by the vehicles.
Legal aspects of the right of way
The disregard for the right of way can have devastating consequences. According to specialist lawyer.de have road users who come from right, in principle, provided no traffic signs provide for other regulations. Vehicles that drive in from field or forest paths have no right of way (Section 8 (1) StVO). It is the obligation of the drivers who are not entitled to ahead to show through their driving behavior that they observe the right of way (Section 8 (3) StVO). Collisions such as those on B 189 underline the importance of these regulations.
The regulations on the right of way are primarily intended to prevent accidents on intersections and junctions. If road users disregard the right of way, they have to expect fines and points in the Flensburg traffic register. Serious violations can even lead to fines, license withdrawal and up to five years of imprisonment (§ 315 c StGB).
further incidents in the region
Regardless of the accidents described above, another incident was reported in Tangermünde on June 23, 2025. At around 8:00 a.m., officials found an e-scooter on Bahnhofstrasse, which was on the road without an insurance license plate. A check showed that the 23-year-old driver had not taken out an insurance company, which prompted the officials to prohibit him from continuing. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
These incidents in Seehausen and Tangermünde once again show how important the observance of traffic rules and safety precautions in road traffic is. The safety of all road users can only be guaranteed by responsible driving behavior.
