Culture Bang 2025: A celebration for the community and international aid!

In the heart of Murnau, the annual Culture Bang Festival took place under the motto “Help Together”, organized by the People Helping Association. This charity event aims to collect donations and at the same time create an atmosphere of community. Eva Wiesendanger, one of the main organizers, highlights the positive interaction among participants and emphasizes that the event is suitable for people of all ages - from children to parents to grandparents. The festival offers a variety of offerings: music, art, cuisine and a children's program ensure a varied experience for everyone.

The family atmosphere that characterizes the festival is supported by the variety of activities and the lively community. Participants enjoy the opportunity to exchange ideas and spend a nice day together. Eva and her team consider this successful networking of generations to be essential in order to promote togetherness and solidarity in the community. Successful charity events

Particularly noteworthy was the charity concert that took place on November 29, 2024 in the auditorium of the Staffelsee-Gymnasium. The big band “But is it art?” performed here. under the direction of Florian Oppenrieder, and around 380 visitors were able to enjoy a varied repertoire that included works by Duke Ellington, Leonard Bernstein and modern interpretations. The high musical quality was underlined by impressive solos from individual musicians.

The concert brought in net proceeds of 10,000 euros, which benefited the People Helping Association. These funds will be used specifically for winter relief at the Grigouraca children's center in Moldova. This support is particularly important given the rising prices for heating materials and food, which have been exacerbated by the war in Ukraine. People help e.V. would like to expressly thank Florian Oppenrieder, the Big Band, the Rotary Club Murnau-Oberammergau, the Lions Club Murnau and the Zonta Club Murnau-Staffelsee as well as all donors for their great support.

In this way, the Culture Bang Festival shows that cultural events are not just for entertainment, but can also concretely help to improve the lives of families in need. The combination of music, art and culinary delights makes it clear how important community and solidarity are in times of need.
