Big football festival: HSV celebrates 100 years with 1,500 young kickers!

The Heider Rotarians set a strong sign of youth promotion and support the anniversary tournaments of the Heider Sportverein (HSV) with a generous donation of 2500 euros. These funds come from the lucky rope podium of the Rotary Club Heide and are intended for the procurement of soccer balls, gates, flag rods, prices and other utensils. The HSV celebrates its 100th anniversary this year with a big festival, to which over 1,500 children from friends on the west coast and from various locations in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg are invited. The motto of the event is: "The Heider SV celebrates its 100th birthday with 1500 children."

Currently 310 children and adolescents are involved in 21 teams of the HSV that are open to all football players, regardless of gender or nationality. Friedel Seehausen, coach and manager of youth football, thank you for the support of the Rotarians and emphasizes the importance of football festivals for the community. This summer, the HSV is planning a total of ten football festivals, which will take place in four fields of the sports facility on Meldorfer Strasse.

The initiative is not only described as an important measure for integration, but also as effective refugee aid. Hans-Jürgen Block, lucky manager of the Rotary Club, emphasizes how important fun, friendship and camaraderie are in football. As part of the funding from the happiness rope podium, the HSV can inspire the jury with its project, which led to the receipt of the maximum amount. This year, the lucky catering will support a total of 38 projects for children and adolescents.

A special thank you goes to the many helpers who worked on the sale of the lucky eggs who were quickly sold out. The VR Bank West coast, one of the main sponsors of the lottery, is also recognized for their contribution. The lottery funding was filled with over 50,000 euros by regional cooperative banks and domestic savings banks, which strengthens the long tradition of support from the Rotary Club.
