Bridge collapses during Corpus Christi procession in Seehausen!

Seehausen, Bayern, Deutschland - This Thursday morning, June 19, 2025, a tragic incident occurred during the traditional sea procession in Seehausen, Bavaria. The procession, which started from the parish church in Seehausen and moved to the island of Wörth with a fleet of rowing boats, was accompanied by over 100 smaller boats. Around 9:30 a.m. a wooden bridge collapsed during the celebrations.

The fall of the bridge suddenly happened on the back of the bridge, whereupon several visitors plunged into the water. Immediate help came from first aiders, including firefighters and other those present who were quickly there to land those affected. There are currently two injuries to complain: an older man suffered serious injuries while his wife was slightly injured. This information was from Bild and mercury confirmed.

A large contingent of emergency services was sent, including the fire brigade, paramedics, emergency doctors and the water guard. Fire chief Martin Bierling reported that some people from the nearby lake watched the accident and immediately informed the fire brigade.
