Inzell and Chiemgau: Joint offer for holiday guests launched!
In a recent cooperation between Inzeller Touristik GmbH and Jennerbahn, significant progress was made in the development of a special offer for holiday guests in Chiemgau. At a joint meeting, the managing director of Inzeller Touristik, Markus Stuckmann, and Thomas Mühlthaler, board member of Berchtesgadener Bahn AG (BBAG), laid down the framework conditions and requirements for this offer. The deal was officially announced, indicating an innovative and synergistic collaboration between the two companies to further increase the attractiveness of the region. Berchtesgaden Gazette reports that such measures are particularly necessary in regions with strong tourism, such as Chiemgau.
The development of a special holiday offer comes at an opportune time. According to the OVB Online Inzell recorded an impressive number of 622,246 overnight stays in 2024, which corresponds to an increase of 2.61 percent compared to the previous year. These successes, both in terms of overnight stays and guest arrivals, indicate the region's increasing popularity. Stuckmann expressed satisfaction with the past figures, which were boosted by the speed skating world championships and a varied summer program.
Sustainable growth in the region
With 144,217 guest arrivals, a growth of 9.36 percent compared to 2023, the figures show that Inzell scored particularly well with guests from Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia. The high utilization of the Max Aicher Arena during quieter times for tourism underlines the region's potential for sporting events. In the summer, the summer ice in July attracted athletes from all over the world who took advantage of training stays in Inzell. Looking ahead to the upcoming Olympic Games in February 2026 also increases the anticipation of winning back even more athletes and tourists.
In view of this positive development, Inzeller Touristik GmbH is optimistic about the coming year 2025. Stuckmann intends not only to maintain the success of the previous year, but also to expand it, and would like to thank the numerous hosts for their tireless efforts to continually promote the region's attractiveness.
