Rope Skipping – More than just jumping rope

Rope skipping, which translates as jumping on a rope, has established itself as a very dynamic and versatile sport. In contrast to conventional rope jumping, a rope made of plastic is used, which enables high speeds. According to Turnfest.de, the sport includes both show and competition areas, which give both children and adults a lot of fun and train fitness and coordination.

The gymnastics festival once again demonstrated the growth of rope skipping in Germany, which is becoming increasingly popular both as a sport and as a community experience. The outlook for the World Championships in July 2025 in Kawasaki, Japan, promises exciting competitions and further record attempts. This event not only promoted talent, but also increased interest in rope skipping and deepened the community within the sport.
