There he quickly attracted attention and made his debut for the professional team in the same year. He made his Bundesliga debut in April 2018 against RB Leipzig, where he made history as a goalscorer. Baku came to RB Leipzig in January 2025 via a commitment to VfL Wolfsburg, where he established himself with impressive performances, including a nomination for the Bundesliga team of the 2020/21 season.
