New residential area in Lindenau: 46 sustainable apartments planned!
The GRK Group has announced the development of a new quarter in Lindenau, a district west of central Leipzig. This ambitious project includes the construction of two new buildings and the revitalization of a listed property. A total of 46 apartments are planned, which indicates the urgent demand for living space in the vibrant city.
On William-Zipperer-Str. 2 and Roßmarktstraße 39-41, the new residential buildings will be built, while the listed property on William-Zipperer-Str. 4 is being revitalized with 9 residential units. Construction and renovation work is scheduled to begin in September 2025, and the preparatory measures that have already been initiated suggest rapid implementation. Sustainability is at the heart of the project, which aims to combine modern living space with ecological principles.
Sustainability as a basic principle
A central feature of the new building projects is the use of the latest technology to save energy. The renovated listed property will be equipped with a photovoltaic system. The new buildings also rely on a mix of air heat pumps, photovoltaics and district heating in order to meet the energy requirements. Completion of the projects is scheduled for mid-2027 and the construction projects should receive the “Sustainable Buildings QNG Plus” quality seal.
24 residential units will be built at Roßmarktstraße 39-41, while William-Zipperer-Straße 4 will offer 13 additional residential units. The internal structures offer both 1 and 4 bedroom apartments, suitable for different target groups. A shared, protected inner courtyard is also intended to promote neighborliness and create a pleasant living atmosphere.
Investment and logistic details
With an investment volume of around 20 million euros, the GRK Group is taking full risk and focusing on creating an attractive living environment. In order to provide security for future residents, a shared underground car park will be provided, which will provide parking spaces for residents' vehicles.
With this project, the GRK Group is not only demonstrating its commitment to creating living space, but also to sustainable architecture. Further information about the projects can be found at Real estate scout24 and Leipziginfo.
