Huge investment: Ari-Armaturen is building a new hall in Homberg-Holzhausen!
Ari-Armaturen, a company steeped in tradition, is investing significantly in the future of its location in Homberg-Holzhausen. The planned project includes the construction of a new production hall, which is scheduled to go into operation in spring 2026. With an area of 3350 square meters, the hall is mainly used for the production and assembly of butterfly valves, an important product of the company, which has been active in this sector since 1969. It can already be found on the company website that Ari-Armaturen offers a wide portfolio of high-quality valves for industrial systems, which underlines the relevance of their products in many industrial applications ari-armaturen.com.
To accommodate this growth, the company recently purchased an adjacent barracks site from the city. This measure was necessary to create new production capacities and integrate the training workshop into the new building. Operations manager Björn Voß emphasizes that the constant increase in machines and assembly requirements requires considerable space. Together with a previous warehouse expansion of 400 square meters in 2019, this is part of Ari-Armaturen's strategic growth plan.
Design and infrastructure
The new hall will not only be functional, but also modern. It will be clinkered and equipped with barrier-free access, an elevator and a freight elevator. Various production rooms as well as social and sanitary rooms are planned on two floors. However, previous renovations are necessary, such as dismantling the old chip hall and relocating electrical cables. Civil engineering work is currently underway and the first concrete walls are scheduled to be erected in August 2025.
Ari-Armaturen, founded in 1950 by Albert Richter, has its roots firmly in Holzhausen with one location since 1969. Today the company operates three locations in Germany and 19 branches in over 70 countries. The Holzhausen location has developed strongly in recent years with the number of employees growing from 45 to 150. This expansion demonstrates the company's commitment to not only increasing its production capacity but also creating new jobs.
Shortage of skilled workers and local cooperation
Despite these positive developments, there are concerns about a skills shortage that could jeopardize production. To counteract this, Ari-Armaturen cooperates with local schools to promote and train future specialists. Although the investment amount for the new production hall has not been disclosed, it is a considerable amount of millions, which indicates the company's big plans. The last major investment of €5 million for a new warehouse in 2019 shows the continued commitment to innovation and growth.
In addition, the local clubs on the newly acquired site have received the promise that they will be allowed to continue to stay, which will not affect the social structures of the community. This decision is considered important to ensure harmonious neighborhood cohesion while the company remains on course for expansion.
