Relegation debacle: Frommern and Holzhausen fail across the board!

On June 23, 2025, TSV Frommern experienced bitter disappointment in relegation to the district league. Player-coach Armin Hotz's team lost 2-3 against Spvgg Freudenstadt after leading 2-1 at half-time. According to Schwäbische, Frommern had a better game performance, but was unable to take advantage of the scoring opportunities that presented themselves. Hotz described the defeat as “maximally disappointing” and saw it as a reflection of the entire season, in which the team often played well but was hardly able to collect any points.

The encounter took place in front of over 750 spectators, who experienced an exciting match. After equalizing to 1-1, Freudenstadt made it 2-2 with a set piece and shortly afterwards turned the game in their favor. With this defeat, Frommern had to accept relegation to the district league. Last season, TSV Frommern became district league champions, which makes their regression all the more painful, as FuPa.net reported.

FC Holzhausen were also relegated

The misery continued for FC Holzhausen, who were also fighting to stay in the league. After a promising 2-0 win against Türk SV Singen the previous week, Holzhausen suffered a 1-5 defeat in the crucial relegation game. Under the leadership of assistant coach Lukas Foelsch, the team was unable to match the performance of the previous game in the first half and quickly fell behind. Singen increased the lead to 3-0 before Jovan Djermanovic scored the goal to make it 1-3 in the 89th minute.

The events that followed led to an abrupt end to FC Holzhausen's dreams of promotion when Singen scored a brace shortly before the end. Foelsch criticized his team's performance and stated that they had not used their full potential.

Decisive games in the upper house

In addition to the defeats of Frommern and Holzhausen, there were also exciting encounters in the Württemberg upper house. TSG Tübingen was able to save itself with a narrow 1-0 win against Waldhausen. Noah Dörre scored the decisive goal with a penalty in the 88th minute. Waldhausen was dissatisfied with the venue and was also dissatisfied with the referee's decision, which did not recognize a possible equalizer.

Overall, there is a mixed picture for the teams in the region, with both Frommern and Holzhausen having to start again in the coming season, while TSG Tübingen can look forward to staying in the league.
