A look at the story

Holzhausen am Ammersee was the center of a lively artist colony around 1900, which was primarily shaped by contemporary Art Nouveau. Many of the studio houses have been preserved to this day. A guided tour that is planned for the coming day leads interested participants over a distance of about 3 km to the still existing artists' houses. Among other things, visitors can visit the Mathias and Anne-Sophie Gasteiger's studio. Other stations are the houses of Eduard Thöny and Clara Ewald. The tour ends in the high cemetery of the local church of Sankt Ulrich, where many artists from the colony were buried. The leadership duration varies between 2 and 4 hours and is suitable for groups of 1 to 25 people, with the meeting point at the Künstlerhaus Gasteiger being in Eduard-Thöny-Straße 43 in Utting. Details of price and adaptation can be made by arrangement, such as the Kunst Tour Notes.
