Dark romance and dance frenzy: The WGT nights in Leipzig!

Parkschloss Leipzig, Im Dölitzer Holz 20, 04158 Leipzig, Deutschland - The 34th Wave Gothic meeting (WGT) is currently taking place in Leipzig, one of the largest and best-known festivals in the black scene worldwide. From June 6th to 9th, 2025, the city transformed into a Mecca for fans of Dark Wave, Gothic and related subcultures. The event not only attracts national, but also international guests and offers a variety of events, concerts and parties.

The festival offers a rich program. On Friday, June 6th, the "dark romantic dance night" will take place in the Leipzig park lock. This event begins at midnight and only ends at 4:30 a.m. Admission is only possible with a WGT ribbon to protect the special character of the festival. Another highlight of Saturday, June 7, is the "Moonchild dance night", which takes place in the Ilses Erika dance café. There is free admission with WGT ribbons here and the event starts from 11:00 p.m. to Open End.

Also on Saturday, the guests can expect the “Obsession Bizarr” event in the Volkspalast dome. This starts at 9:00 p.m. and has a strict dress code: Outfits are allowed from paint, leather, uniforms and the styles "Kinky", "Glamor", "Burlesque", "Drag" and "Gothic-Erotic". Admission to this party is also only permitted with WGT ribbons and a minimum age of 18 years.

For music lovers and cultural workers, the festival is not only enriched by its parties and dance nights.
