SC bison Calenberg misses title: 1: 7 defeat in the final!

The SC Bison Calenberg did not make its title defense at the final Four of the 2nd League in roll hockey and had to give up the Saxon lion with 1: 7 in the final. The final took place in the sports hall on Hindenburgallee in front of around 100 spectators. In the first round of the competition, however, the bison prevailed with 7: 4 against the RSC Gera.

In an exciting final, Calenberg initially took the lead through a goal from Leif Johansson. But the Saxon lions reacted quickly: Aaron throttle equalized via penalty and Dennis Schneider brought the lions into the front. Drossel proved to be the key player for the lions and scored several goals.

reinforcement and injuries

In order to cope with the difficult circumstances, the team received reinforcements from the two players Kim Alina Henckels and Judit Burgaya Ventura from the women's Bundesliga squad. Nevertheless, the SC bison had to do without the injured players Milan Brandt and Marvin Stoffle. In the encounter, Juan Felipe Cruz Valderrama also made his debut for the team.

Klaus Johansson, the long -time chairman of SC bison, was honored for his merits as part of the final. His son Leif Johansson then took over the office of chairman.

women's team on success course

While the men's team was defeated in the final, the women of the SC Bison Calenberg show an impressive season. They have reached the final of the German championship and successfully prevailed in Eldagsen in the first game. The team could play more games on May 10, 2025 in Cronenberg.

Currently, the bison women are busy organizing a fan bus trip to Cronenberg. Last season (2023/2024) they were able to win both the cup victory and the championship, which brought them through the new press as a team of the year.

In addition, the bison women achieved several impressive victories, including a 10: 2 against the mosquitoes and a 3-1 win over TuS Düsseldorf-Nord, while their fans always ensured a great atmosphere.
