Two arrests at Dresden train station: thieves behind bars!
Last weekend, the Dresden Federal Police Inspectorate arrested two men for whom there were arrest warrants. A 39-year-old Pole was discovered trying to hide in the empty farm building at Dresden-Klotzsche train station on Friday morning. He had a debt of over 4,000 euros from an attempted theft conviction in 2022, which he had not paid off. Due to his insolvency, he now has to serve 149 days in the Dresden correctional facility.
Another man was caught red-handed stealing cables and was also taken to the Dresden Correctional Facility. He was unable to pay a fine of 500 euros or a substitute prison sentence of 10 days, which now puts him behind Swedish curtains. The Federal Police is thus sending a strong message against crime and failure to impose legal penalties.
