In a shocking incident at Chemnitz Central Station, a 27-year-old Syrian was arrested on the night of October 22, 2025 after attacking federal police. The officers had asked the man, who was sleeping at the DHL packing station, to leave the train station because he had no intention of traveling. He reluctantly went towards the exit, but suddenly turned around and attacked the police officers.
He tried to hit the officers with a metal sign and a filled bag. Shortly afterward, he punched a police officer in the face, causing swelling that required emergency room treatment. The aggressive man was temporarily arrested and taken to the federal police station. Despite his claims of being uncooperative, the public prosecutor's office agreed to an expedited trial and the Syrian was brought before a judge on the same day.
