On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, a serious accident occurred on the A 17 in Dohna: A 40-year-old man, who was driving his Mercedes C-Class towards Dresden, suddenly changed lanes to the right and crashed into a tractor-trailer with full force! The impact was so severe that the Mercedes was trapped under the trailer. The driver suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital immediately. The damage amounts to around 50,000 euros.
When the accident was recorded, it turned out that the driver had previously been noticed for his unsafe driving style. It was only narrowly possible to prevent another disaster! The Slovakian is now being investigated for endangering road traffic. It will also be checked whether he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident. A dramatic incident that once again shows the dangers on our roads!
