On July 9, 2025, shortly after 8 p.m., a 24-year-old Romanian was targeted by the federal police during immigration control on the B 178n in Zittau. When checking his personal details, the officers came across explosive information: three public prosecutors - Hanover, Osnabrück and Hildesheim - were interested in his address.
The suspect is accused of committing mischief in five cases and has to pay security for subsidy fraud. Police are continuing to investigate and are pulling out all stops to filter out the risks to the public.
