On November 21, 2025, the federal police stopped a wanted driver at the border checkpoint on the B 178n near Zittau. The 41-year-old Romanian had an arrest warrant due to a previous verdict from 2024 that sentenced him to a fine for drunk driving.
The driver was able to pay the required amount, which meant he avoided a 30-day prison sentence. A narrow way out of the difficult situation - but his problems are certainly not over yet!
