Yesterday morning there was a crash on Lützner Straße: A police officer (34) was on the way to an operation in his VW Transporter when he collided with a Skoda Fabia with the siren and lights flashing! The dramatic encounter at the Lützner Straße/Asternweg intersection resulted in injuries to both drivers, who were immediately taken to hospital.
Lützner Straße was temporarily closed to investigate the accident while the destroyed vehicles had to be towed away. According to initial estimates, the material damage is said to amount to tens of thousands of euros. The traffic police have opened an investigation into negligent bodily harm against the police officer.
