Border guard in Zittau: Police stopped several illegal entries!

Federal police in Ebersbach have successfully prevented several unauthorized entries in the last few days! On January 23, 2026, officers contacted a 31-year-old Ukrainian in a coach on Friedensstrasse in Zittau. Although he was able to identify himself with a valid Ukrainian passport, it contained an expired Czech residence permit, which does not allow him to cross the border. The harsh verdict: reporting and expulsion to Poland!

Just one day later, on January 24th at 9:10 a.m., the police wanted to stop another unauthorized entry. A 28-year-old Ukrainian tried to get to Germany via the B 178n without a residence permit. The check showed that he only had one stay in Poland. He also received a complaint and was immediately sent back to Poland. The border guard remains active and determined!
