Görlitz, Deutschland - On Thursday, there were several arrests in Görlitz in the course of the newly introduced border controls. First, a 35-year-old Pole was caught on the old town bridge, which still had 350 euros in debt at the Landes justice treasury Chemnitz. In order to escape a prison sentence, he paid the amount due on site of 669.80 euros and was able to recover his freedom.

Shortly afterwards, a 42-year-old compatriot was arrested as a passenger. He was traveling with two arrest warrants for a total of 1,200 euros (due to documents for falsification). Although he explained to the police in front of the police, it was only with this intention until Friday morning. Currently it could be that he ends up behind bars for the time being until his family arises for the punishment.
