Border controls: arrests and fines on the motorway near Görlitz!
The handcuffs clicked again last weekend in the area of responsibility of the Ludwigsdorf Federal Police Inspectorate. A 37-year-old Pole was arrested during a routine check on the motorway near Görlitz. He had to pay 1,684.19 euros to avoid imprisonment after he canceled a penalty order for an offense under the Narcotics Act.
Also on Sunday evening, a 44-year-old Pole was caught at the An der Neisse rest area. He was sentenced to a fine of 3,578.52 euros for drunk driving. But luckily for him, he paid the amount immediately with his Mastercard and was allowed to continue driving. At the same time, a 40-year-old Ukrainian was caught at the Krauschwitz border crossing, who was also taken into custody on the basis of an executive arrest warrant from the Görlitz public prosecutor's office after he was unable to pay a fine of 960 euros for violating the weapons law.
