Violence at the main train station: Bulgarian attacker arrested!
On Monday afternoon, a 32-year-old Bulgarian citizen was arrested by the federal police at Leipzig Central Station after he was again violently conspicuous. The suspect, who has repeatedly committed crimes near the train station since December 2025, has a long list of offenses, including grievous bodily harm and threats. According to reports, he repeatedly attacked passers-by, especially women, and sometimes injured his victims with objects or insulted them.
In his final attack, he threw a glass bottle at a 37-year-old woman, hitting her in the head, causing a bleeding wound. The injured person received medical help from the rescue workers in the Federal Police offices. The man was immediately arrested, taken to the public prosecutor's office and, after being brought before a judge, transferred to the Leipzig correctional facility. He now has to answer for grievous bodily harm and other crimes.
