Frenchman with hunting rifles: arrest warrant canceled because of fine!
In an exciting incident at the An der Neiße Nord motorway checkpoint, the federal police noticed a French Ford Ranger. When the officers took a closer look, they discovered that the passenger, a 34-year-old Frenchman, was carrying two hunting rifles. At first it seemed like everything was fine, but the discovery of a warrant for his arrest caused a surprising turn of events!
The wanted man was wanted for violating the weapons law - and for good reason! He had not paid a high fine of 4,250 euros from the Görlitz district court. In order to secure his freedom and be able to continue driving, he had to dig deep into his pockets and pay off the debts that were due. The arrest warrant has now been revoked. An exciting highway drama that ended with a costly ending for this passenger!
