Airport chaos: German threatens to throw a bomb – police intervene!
A 58-year-old German is causing a stir at Leipzig/Halle Airport! He wanted to fly to Egypt on Reformation Day, but his flight ended abruptly at security. During the check, the man said he had a bomb in his suitcase - a dangerous game! Despite repeated statements, the federal police did not find any explosive objects when they subsequently searched his luggage.
The consequences for the man could be seriously expensive: The federal police have launched an investigation into disturbing the public peace and faking a crime. In addition, administrative offense proceedings were opened for public nuisance. The aircraft's departure was delayed by around 10 minutes while the exact cost of the missions and the damage caused are still being determined.
