Dresden fire brigade in constant operation: fires, accidents and rescue missions!
On August 30, 2025, the Dresden Fire Department was challenged in an impressive way. Several missions required quick action. First, the fire department had to respond to a fire in the outdoor area of a recycling company, where 20 square meters of garbage had caught fire in a high pile. The fire was fought quickly and professionally using heavy foam and a wheel loader.
Later that evening, firefighters were called to a beeping smoke alarm on Holbein Street, where they found an unconscious person on a sofa. Immediate medical measures were taken and emergency services transported the injured person to hospital. Meanwhile, the emergency services suspected that burnt food had caused the smoke.
The last operation of the day took the fire brigade to Kirchenweg in Mobschatz, where a car was on fire after a traffic accident. The driver was already treated in the ambulance. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire brigade, the fire was extinguished quickly and it was ensured that no dangerous materials were released into the ground. Here too, the site was handed over to the police.
