Drama on the A4: Five injured in chaotic accidents!
On Thursday afternoon there were two traffic accidents on the A4 towards Görlitz, in which five people were slightly injured. The first accident occurred between the Dresden-Nord triangle and the Hermsdorf exit when a VW Golf (driver 21) braked abruptly. A Mercedes Vito (driver 36) and a Range Rover (driver 26) then collided. The Mercedes Vito then crashed into the guardrail. All three drivers and a 56-year-old passenger in the Range Rover suffered minor injuries.
A tractor-trailer then had to brake hard, which was fatal for a 17-year-old on his KTM Duke - he rear-ended and fell. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries. To make matters worse, the tractor-trailer driver simply drove on without paying any attention to the accident. The highway remained closed for about an hour and a half while cleanup and accident investigations were carried out. The total damage amounts to around 46,000 euros.
