Roof fire in an apartment building: Fire brigade prevents anything worse from happening!
On Friday morning, a fire broke out in the attic of a ten-story apartment building, causing heavy smoke. The fire brigade reacted quickly and was able to get into the affected area through the roof hatches, where they localized the fire and prevented it from spreading further to the inhabited apartments. Fortunately, there were no injuries and no evacuation of residents was necessary.
Despite the fire brigade's quick response, damage was caused to the upper apartments due to the extinguishing work and water penetrating the fire. The exact amount of property damage is currently unknown. Due to ongoing construction work on the roof, the possibility of arson is also being investigated and a fire investigator will be called in to investigate further.
