Attacker in Citybahn: Students threatened – Federal police intervene!
On November 13, 2025, at around 1:25 p.m., the Chemnitz Federal Police Station was alerted. The cause was a threatening situation on the Citybahn on the route from Burgstädt to Chemnitz. A 26-year-old German threatened several students with violence, apparently to enforce his “right to a seat”.
The emergency services promptly rushed to Chemnitz main station to check the suspect. Fortunately, the affected students were no longer on the train at the time. The man was taken to the police station for further questioning and brought before the public prosecutor's office for violating his probation. The district court revoked his probation and ordered him to be committed to a correctional facility.
