Eibenstock, Deutschland - On Saturday afternoon there was a dramatic accident on Karlsbader Straße (S 275) in Eibenstock. A 68-year-old woman who was traveling with her Citroën lost control of her vehicle about 500 meters before entering the town and crashed into a tree. The damage was significant: her car overturned and landed on the roof. While the driver got away with minor injuries, a 73-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

A breath alcohol test for the 68-year-old revealed alarming 0.48 per thousand. This has consequences: An investigation against the driver is now being initiated for danger to road traffic and negligent bodily harm. The total damage is estimated at around 10,000 euros.
