Alarm in Ebersbach: Uninsured e-scooters stopped on the street!
Last weekend, the federal police in Ebersbach and Sohland / Spree took out two electric scooter drivers who were traveling without insurance. On the night of July 25, 2025, the Joint Task Force Upper Lusatia stopped a 19-year-old German who was riding an RCB e-scooter. Just two days later, on July 27, 2025, an 18-year-old German woman was stopped in Sohland - also on an uninsured e-scooter.
The police checks have clearly shown that anyone who travels with an electric scooter must comply with the legal regulations. These checks are intended to ensure that only legally insured vehicles are on the roads and that the safety of all road users is guaranteed.
