A 29-year-old Romanian was arrested in a coach at the Breitenau border crossing on January 21st. During a routine check, the federal police discovered that there was an international arrest warrant against him. The man is wanted by the Luxembourg authorities for intentional grievous bodily harm.
After his arrest, the suspect was taken to the Pirna district court and then transferred to the Dresden prison. There he is now awaiting extradition to Luxembourg, where he will be held responsible for his alleged crimes. The search operation shows once again how effective border controls are!
