Bio-Mobil in Leipzig: Discover the future of organic farming!

From June 14th, 2025, Burgplatz in Leipzig will be the venue for the “Bio-Mobil” event, which will take place until June 26th. This initiative is part of the EU-funded campaign “Borderless Regional – Organic in Europe”, which aims to raise awareness of organic farming and sustainable consumption. The opening event will take place on June 14th at 1 p.m. and will welcome prominent guests such as Environmental Mayor Heiko Rosenthal, Bernhard Wagner from the Canitz Water Estate and Eva Köhler from the Leipzig Cooperative Agriculture. This opening round will address an important topic: the importance of organic farming for urban spaces and the protection of natural resources. Diverse program

The Bio-Mobil offers an exciting range of program items, including virtual reality experiences, play streets, cooking shows and children's cooking classes. A reading with sustainability expert Marisa Becker is planned for June 21st, followed by a children's cooking class with Govinda on June 24th. In addition, two cooking shows will be presented on June 25th, and the regional organic farms such as Guidohof and Sonnengut Gerster will present themselves on June 20th and 21st. On the last day of the event, information will be provided by the Bioland-Hof Schömbach.

Organic farming and its importance

The demand for organic food is growing in popularity across the European Union.
