Bayern Munich dominates: The Bundesliga points statistics of the last 10 years!
On July 1, 2025, the German Bundesliga will look back on an exciting phase. The long-term statistics of the last ten years show that FC Bayern Munich takes the clear lead with 794 points. In second place is Borussia Dortmund, which has collected 666 points, followed by Bayer 04 Leverkusen with 602 points.
In fourth place is the home team RB Leipzig, which has achieved a total of 557 points in nine seasons. These consistent performances prove the club's rise to the top of the table. In the table for the last ten seasons, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach are in fifth and sixth place, with almost the same points. Nine clubs were able to survive in the league over the entire period, with SC Freiburg collecting more points in one season than 1. FSV Mainz 05 and FC Augsburg.
Relegated teams and poor performances
On the other side of the table are 1. FC Nürnberg and SpVgg Fürth, who have scored the fewest points in the last ten years. 1. FC Nürnberg in particular was relegated directly to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2018/19 with just 19 points. To date, the club is playing its seventh season in the second division, while Fürth has only amassed one point less in the same time.
RB Leipzig stands out as the team with the best points average, overtaking Bayer Leverkusen for third place. FC Bayern remains the only club that scores an average of more than 2 points per game. This reinforces the dominance of the record champions, while Union Berlin only ranks 16th in the overall ranking despite a good points average. Nine clubs recorded an average points average of less than one point per game. Special mention goes to SC Paderborn, 1. FC Nürnberg and SpVgg Fürth, who occupy the last three places based on average points. SV Darmstadt 98 has also presented weak numbers with less than one point over several seasons.
Current season and final spurt
In the current season it is FC Bayern Munich with 79 points and a goal difference of +63 at the top of the table. The Munich team has to play their last game away from home against TSG Hoffenheim. Bayer 04 Leverkusen is in the chasing pack with 68 points and a similar starting position in their game against Mainz 05.
RB Leipzig shares fate with Eintracht Frankfurt, both teams have 51 points each. While Frankfurt travels to SC Freiburg, Leipzig hosts VfB Stuttgart. Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach are also in the chasing pack, while 1. FC Union Berlin is in the bottom half of the table and will have FC Augsburg as their opponent.
The remaining games of the season promise an exciting final spurt as the clubs fight for numerous important points. The developments of the last few seasons lay the foundation for future events in Germany's top football league.
